WK associates attend PKF North American Network training seminars
As part of Williams-Keepers LLC’s ongoing effort to provide its clients with updated information and superior service, several of the firm’s associates recently attended continuing education programs and seminars hosted by PKF North American Network PKF NAN), an association of independent accounting firms. WK is a member of PKF NAN, which assists member firms by providing technical and leadership training for individuals at all experience levels.
Amber L. Snider, CPA, audit manager, recently completed the Leading Through Managing course, the third of six levels in the PKF NAN leadership series. Over the course of a year, participants attend four sessions designed to help experienced managers develop the skills to lead people and teams, communicate effectively, coach and counsel, solve problems and develop business.
Emily C. Bange, CPA, tax senior II, recently completed PKF NAN’s Advanced S Corporation, Partnership Taxation and Overview of Multi-state Tax Issues course. The three-day program, held in St. Louis, offered advanced tax training in the issues of S corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and multi-state tax issues.
Josh Henggeler, CPA, audit senior II, and Michael Heil, CPA, audit senior II, recently completed PKF NAN’s Advanced Applications of the Audit Process and Supervision Techniques course in Las Vegas. The three-day program helped participants develop skills in applying and documenting audit risk assessment procedures, adapting supervision skills to different situations, and assuming a more significant client service role.
Nathan Alexander, audit staff II, and Bridget Geisendorfer, audit staff II, recently completed PKF NAN’s Introduction to the In-Charge Role: Learning the Audit Process and Supervision Techniques course in Las Vegas. The three-day program introduced participants to techniques needed to begin daily supervision of in-field audit staff and included case studies on applying risk assessment procedures, budgeting and time management, and performing analytics.
Cliff Lewton, CPA, audit senior, and Bridget Geisendorfer, audit staff II, attended the Employee Benefit Plans Training Day in Chicago, hosted by PKF North American Network. The seminar focused on planning strategies for benefit plan audits, implementation of risk assessment standards, Department of Labor reviews, and current developments in the industry.
